On May 5, 2023, at 1412 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1300 block of Lakeland Cove, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1412 hours
On Scene: 1415 hours
Under Control: 1432 hours
Firefighters arrived in three minutes and found smoke and fire visible. There was heavy fire damage to the rear of the home that had extended throughout the attic of the home.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury at the scene and will be evaluated.
Occupants and their pets both evacuated the structure before the FWFD’s arrival.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
