University of Saint Francis Creative Arts invites the public to an “Alphabet Exhibition” from Jan. 17 to Feb. 23 at the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center.

USF Creative Arts will present ‘Alphabet Exhibition’

Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 3, 2022) — University of Saint Francis Creative Arts invites the public to an “Alphabet Exhibition” from Jan. 17 to Feb. 23 at the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center.

Admission is free at the Rolland Center, located off Leesburg Road on the southeast side of campus, 2701 Spring Street.

USF will host a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, followed by a lecture at 7 p.m. from USF Graphic Design Program Director Alan Nauts. Nauts will discuss his career as a designer, from owning an advertising agency to teaching design and managing a studio art practice.

The Alphabet Exhibition will feature 26 “letter” posters designed by important 20th Century graphic designers, including Michael Bierut, Seymour Chwast, Paul Davis, Heinz Edelmann, Shigeo Fukuda, Tom Geismar, Pierre Mendell, Woody Pirtle, Peter Saville, Paula Scher, Rosmarie Tissi and Yarom Vardimon.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
