The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigation a shooting that occurred Friday, October 8th, 2021 at about 1pm in the area of Clay and Madison St. A 17 year old juvenile victim was located in the area suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was rendered aid by the Fort Wayne Fire Department and Medics, then transported to a local hospital in non-life threatening condition. Once at the hospital, the victim remained in non-life threatening condition. The victim, thus far, has been uncooperative with the police.

Preliminary investigation indicates that there is a possible person of interest based on information gathered. This is an on-going investigation and information continues to develop. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
