The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 3126 Wells Lot 28 on September 29, 2021, at 6:45 pm.
The first crews arriving on the scene found moderate smoke and fire coming from the residential trailer. Firefighters advanced hose lines inside the residential trailer for fire control and search. Fire was found in the kitchen/dining room areas and was extinguished in around 15 minutes.
A searches of the residence found one deceased cat. Crews performed salvage and overhaul of the trailer which suffered moderate fire, smoke, and water damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Fort Wayne Fire Department Investigators.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Indiana Michigan Power, NIPSCO, City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority Medics.
