Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 24, 2021) – On September 24, 2021, at 7:02 pm, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a possible house fire in the 2900 block of Ridgeway Drive.
It was unknown if occupants were still inside the structure upon firefighter’s arrival. Fire Station 12 crews arrived and found a working fire in a single-story residence. Crews rapidly attacked the fire and conducted a subsequent search which revealed no one inside. A total of three occupants had self-evacuated.
It took several crews to get the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes. No injuries were reported. The investigation revealed the cause of the fire as a cooking fire in the garage.
