Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 24, 2021) – The chance for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist into this evening. While the greater threat for severe weather likely occurs after 8 pm EDT, an isolated strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out through roughly 7 pm EDT. It will not be a rainout by any means with the vast majority of the storms lasting maybe 15 to 30 minutes. Damaging winds and locally heavy rain will be the main concerns, but some large hail cannot be ruled out. Monitor our social media posts into this evening for the latest information including timing and threats. Once we get the storms out of the area we will see dry and hot conditions into next week.
