Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 20, 2021) – The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo invites guests to help us celebrate National Zoo Keeper Week on Wednesday, July 21 from 10 am to 3 pm. Guests of all ages can learn more about the incredible work the Zoo Keepers perform daily through hands-on activities and can help us say thank you to our hardworking Zoo Keepers during our Who Wants to be a Zoo Keeper Day on Wednesday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Who Wants to be a Zoo Keeper Day is a fun way to celebrate the amazing work being done at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo”, said Director of Communication, Bonnie Kemp. “Zoo Keepers clean, feed, train and enrich the lives of our Zoo Animals and guests can learn what it takes during this fun day.
Who Wants to be a Zoo Keeper stations around the Central Zoo will include learning activities and creative projects such as writing a thank you to your favorite Zoo Keeper.
“It’s a great way to appreciate our wonderful Zoo Keepers and the amazing work they do here at the Zoo,” said Kemp.
Who Wants to be a Zoo Keeper Day is free with paid Zoo admission.
About the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is northeast Indiana’s largest tourist attraction, hosting more than 600,000 guests annually. Zoo is open 9 am to 7 pm through August. Fall hours – September and October 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is $11 for kids 2 to 18; $15 adults.
