Arrest in MLK Bridge vandalism from earlier today, July 14, 2021.

Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 14, 2021) – On July 14, 2021 around 11:35 am, FWPD Officers were dispatched to the area of the Martin Luther King Jr. bridge regarding a vandalism in progress. Dispatchers received numerous calls from citizens about a male Asian defacing the MLK Bridge and statue. A concerned citizen who witnessed the vandalism of the statue and bridge followed the suspect in his vehicle and advised the Police of the suspect’s location. Officers located the suspect and found the spray paint in the suspect’s vehicle that matched the spray paint at the scene of the crime. The Suspect also admitted to the crime. Public Works made the scene and removed the spray paint from the bridge and statue.

Arrested: Aung Tint Han, 51 years old from Fort Wayne, IN

Charges: Criminal Mischief
