Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 25, 2021) – 89.1 WBOI and Classical WBNI announce the 12th annual Picked by the Pros Wine Pairing Dinner on October 15, 2021. Picked by the Pros is the year’s only event fundraiser for Northeast Indiana PublicRadio, and includes a wine tasting, a six-course dinner, a wine pull, and live and silent auctions.
The festivities begin at 5:30 PM with a tasting hosted by the popular local wine shop, WineTime. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres while sampling over 50 different wines, with tips, tasting notes, and education from experts.
The wine tasting is followed by a six-course dinner curated by Cheers! Wine Consultants, Dan and Krista Stockman, and Chef John from Ceruti’s. Each course is paired with a wine that’s personally selected by our pros.
The event also includes vast live and silent auctions, featuring regional treats, art, and special experiences. Live auction items include an “Instant Wine Cellar” with at least a dozen bottles of wine to kick-start your home wine cellar, and a package to recreate the Picked by Pros dinner at your house, with Dan and Krista Stockman as your hosts.
In addition to the tasting, dinner, and auctions, attendees can participate in a wine pull of 100-150“anonymous” wines. Participants can purchase a ticket for a wine pull number. Every participant will win a bottle of wine hand picked by pros, but one lucky winner will walk away with the coveted bottle of Dom Pérignon.
