Details:

On June 22, 2021 at 4:40 PM the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a reported domestic dispute in the 3600 block of Oliver.

Officers were advised that the female caller stated that her boyfriend had stated that he was going to shoot officers if they came to the house and that he had a loaded weapon and was sitting on the porch.

Prior to their arrival officers were advised that the suspect had went back into the home and locked the door.

Upon Officers arrival they tried to make contact with the suspect via telephone and he was refusing to come out of the house and advised that he was in fact armed..

At this point the Emergency Services Team along with the Crisis Response Team and Air Support Units were called to the scene.

Communications was ongoing with the subject inside and shortly after after 5:45 the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

The victim along with the suspect were being interviewed by Detectives and charges are pending in this case.

This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
