House fire, Hoagland Avenue
Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 16, 2021) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 3400 block of Hoagland Avenue on June 16, 2021, at 6:54 pm. On arrival, smoke and fire were coming from the second-floor of the home. Four occupants had self-evacuated before the firefighters’ arrival. The fire was in a second-floor bedroom and had spread into the attic.
The fire was under control in 28 minutes. The cause is under investigation.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, Indiana Michigan Power, NIPSCO, and the City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement.
