Allen County Coroner report on the 13th Allen County Homicide.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office was contacted at about 05:50 hours on Sunday, May 2, 2021 reference the death of Roderick J. Patterson, male black, 25 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fort Wayne Police Department and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority Medics were dispatched to a stabbing investigation in the 2400 block of Trentman Avenue, Fort Wayne and located Roderick J. Patterson suffering from a stab wound. Medics transported Roderick J. Patterson from the scene to a local hospital, death was pronounced a short time after arrival.
An autopsy has been completed and the next of kin has been notified of the death. The Cause of Death is Stab Wound of the Chest and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Roderick J. Patterson is the 13th Homicide in Allen County for 2021.
The incident continues to be investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
