On January 29, 2021 at 3:10 PM the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 3500 block of Warsaw Street. Officers were advised that the victim had called and reported that he had been shot.
Upon officers arrival on scene they located the victim and he was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with Non-Life Threatening injuries and upon his arrival at the hospital his condition was downgraded by Doctors to having Life-Threatening Injuries.
Fort Wayne Police Homicide Detectives were called to the scene along with Crime Scene Technicians to canvass the area and attempt to identify any witnesses as well as process the scene for evidence associated with this incident.
Early reports indicate that there was a motor vehicle accident with some type of an altercation that took place after the accident and then shots were fired and the victim was struck.
