Shooting Investigation

On Wednesday, 11/18/2020, at approximately 8:41 PM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 400 block of East Fourth Street reference a shooting. Officers arrived at Lawton Park and located the male/juvenile victim in the parking lot. The victim was conscious and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in serious condition. Upon arriving at the hospital his condition was downgraded to life-threatening by a physician.
Evidence indicates the shooting occurred near the intersection of Spy Run Avenue and East Fourth Street. Detectives are interviewing witnesses at police headquarters in an effort to obtain suspect information.
