City Utilities hosting public update meetings

News release from the City Utilities:

City Utilities to Discuss Next Steps in Reducing Sewer Overflows and Protecting our Rivers and Neighborhoods

(January 28, 2020) – Fort Wayne City Utilities will host informational meetings to update residents on the Federally mandated sewer improvement progress and discuss work and funding for the last phase of the 18-year plan.

The City is under court order to reduce significantly the number of combined sewer overflows going to our rivers, reduce sewage that backs-up into homes, and operate and maintain the sewer system through continued repair and rehabilitation.

Three public meetings will take place, beginning this week, to discuss the plans with residents.
