
On February 4, 2020, at 1456 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 4100 block of Plaza Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1456 hours
On Scene: 1459 hours
Under Control: 1534 hours
The first firefighters on the scene reported fire throughout the entire house. Firefighters forced entry through the front door and encountered a wall of fire. As the flames were pushed back, firefighters found one unconscious male victim and pulled him to safety. Firefighters transferred care to TRAA paramedics and continued to search the house for additional victims as other firefighters battled the flames. No additional victims were found or reported missing. It took approximately 40 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
