On November 11, 2019, at 0248 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 300 block of West Butler Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0248 hours
On Scene: 0251 hours
Under Control: 0300 hours
Upon arrival FWFD Engine 2 found light smoke coming from residence with all occupants outside. Firefighters entered to find heavy smoke and fire in the kitchen. Crews made an aggressive interior attack on the fire which was extinguished rapidly. Nothing else found on search. The fire was under control in 12 minutes from the time of the alarm.
The fire was deemed to be a cooking fire that spread to cabinets. Smoke detectors alerted occupants who safely self-evacuated.
