Hop River receives national attention

News release from the Hop River Brewing Company:

Hop River Brewing Company Gets Attention on National Scale

(September 12, 2018) – Hop River Brewing Company is currently acknowledged twice in national articles, focusing on the communal, inclusive atmosphere in the brewery’s taproom. It is the Featured Brewery at craftbeer.com, a national website published by the Brewers Association, the not-for-profit trade organization that protects and promotes small and independent U.S. brewers.
After being open seven months and hosting big community presentations and programs, Hop River has quickly become recognized as a meet up place for local artists, entrepreneurs, outdoor enthusiasts and young professionals. “We had this ‘aha moment’ where we said ‘Why aren’t we just doing this all the time?'” Paris McFarthing (co-owner) says. “This is great way to connect with people. Because at the end of the day, it’s very hard for people to support you if you don’t support them. Inviting people in is really our way of supporting our community.”
The article, Hop River Brewing Company Taps into Fort Wayne’s Watershed Moment, emphasizes the welcoming atmosphere and location as an up-and-coming spot with River North soon-to-be-developed and Wells Street Corridor just a block away.
