Brief summary of incidents and arrests:
On Friday, July 27th, 2018 members of the Fort Wayne Police Department Emergency Services Team, the Allen County Police Department’s SWAT Team and the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice & Narcotics Division served multiple search warrants around Fort Wayne in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking organization. Detectives had received information that some of the above listed suspects were dealing narcotics, and conducted an investigation using multiple sources. Multiple drug buys were conducted over a period of time and search warrants were obtained to further the investigation.
On Thursday, July 26th, 2018, Detectives from the Fort Wayne Police Department Gang and Violent Crimes Unit conducted a traffic stop on Demonta Huddleston, M/B 26, who had an active warrant for his arrest for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, detectives found him to be in possession of a handgun and cocaine and heroin. Demonta Huddleston was taken into custody and transported to the Fort Wayne Police Department and an interview was conducted. Demonta Huddleston was transported to the Allen County Jail after the interview. Demonta Huddleston was arrested for Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm (Level 5 Felony), Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Heroin) (Level 2 Felony) and Possession of Cocaine (Level 6 Felony).
On Friday, July 27th, 2018, at approximately 7:00 am, members of the Allen County Police Department’s SWAT Team served the first search warrant at 2838 Northgate Blvd., Apt #7. Inside the apartment were Ebony Starks, F/B D.O.B. 04/06/1997, Kyan Horsley, F/B D.O.B. 01/19/1996, of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Shanae Sanders, F/B D.O.B. 01/20/1996, of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Ms. Starks was arrested for visiting a common nuisance, Ms. Horsley was arrested for visiting a common nuisance and possession of marijuana, and Ms. Sanders was arrested for visiting a common nuisance and possession of marijuana. During a search of the apartment, one stolen handgun was found, .4 grams of heroin, 15.8 grams of marijuana, $2,000 in US Currency and other drug paraphernalia. Demonta Huddleston was later charged with 3 counts of dealing methamphetamine (Level 2 Felony), 3 counts of dealing methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony) and 2 counts of dealing a narcotic drug (Heroin) (Level 4 Felony) for his involvement in this case.
The second search warrant was served at 3120 Broadway Avenue by members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Emergency Service Team at approximately 7:01 am. Inside of this house was Gregory Huddleston, M/B 38, and an adult female. Gregory Huddleston was arrested for 2 counts dealing methamphetamine (Level 2 Felony) and one count of dealing narcotic drug (Heroin) (Level 4 Felony). A search of the residence discovered 1.2 grams of methamphetamine and over $12,000 in US Currency. Two vehicles were also seized in this raid.
The third search warrant was served at 4911 Lake Avenue by members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Emergency Services Team at approximately 7:42 am. Inside of this house was Sherinna Haynes, F/B 51. During a search of this residence detectives recovered one .22 caliber revolver, 90.6 grams of heroin, 28 grams of cocaine and $1,175 US Currency. Sherinna Haynes was charged with one count of dealing cocaine (Level 2 Felony) one count of dealing narcotic drug (Heroin) (Level 2 ) and maintaining a common nuisance (Level 6 Felony).
The previous search warrant locations lead detectives to a fourth location, which was searched at approximately 1:28 pm at 1107 West Washington Boulevard. Inside of this residence was Jermesha Davis, F/B 27. A search of this residence recovered 2 stolen handguns, 6 grams of methamphetamine, 5.1 grams of cocaine and 8.01 grams of heroin. Jermesha Davis was charged with one count dealing methamphetamine (Level 2 Felony), dealing a narcotic drug (Heroin) (Level 5 Felony), dealing cocaine, (Level 3 Felony) and maintaining a common nuisance (Level 6 Felony).
The narcotics totals from this investigation yielded 99.01 grams of heroin, 7.2 grams of methamphetamine, 33.1 grams of cocaine, 15.8 grams of marijuana, 4 firearms, 3 vehicles and over $15,000 in US Currency.
This case is still under investigation.
