Annual TRF Children's Fest to move

News release from the Three Rivers Festival:

Three Rivers Festival Announces Annual Children’s Fest to Move to North Side High School

(May 3, 2018) – The Three Rivers Festival, in a new partnership with Fort Wayne Community Schools, will hold the Children’s Fest on Friday, July 20th and Saturday, July 21st from 10am until 4pm at North Side High School.
The move comes during a period of growth for the Children’s Fest – with a drive to revamp the event as part of the 50th Annual Three Rivers Festival.
The new partnership with Fort Wayne Community Schools will assist with the mission of the Children’s Fest, to keep children in our community physically active and engaged. The event’s move from IPFW to North Side High School will allow the event to be more centrally located and closer to the Festival’s events and attractions in and around Headwaters Park.
“The Three Rivers Festival is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and there truly is no better way to celebrate the child in all of us than to improve Children’s Fest for our community’s children,” said Jack Hammer, Executive Director. “This move is exciting as it will allow for the event to grow, be closer to parking and gain visibility.”
Each year, more than 30,000 visitors attend the Children’s Fest. While the event is no longer at IPFW, the Three Rivers Festival would like to thank them for their many years of hospitality.
North Side High School is located at 475 E State Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
