2018 TRF Raft Race cancelled

News release from the Three Rivers Festival:

2018 TRF Raft Race cancelled

(February 20, 2018) – The Three Rivers Festival Board of Directors regrets to announce the Three Rivers Festival Raft Race will not be held this year. The cancellation is due to the current Riverfront construction along the St. Mary’s River.
“Due to Riverfront construction restrictions, we have elected to postpone the Raft Race this year,” explained Jack Hammer, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Festival. “The Riverfront improvements, once complete, will create a more engaging event for both spectators and participants. Although we would love to see this staple event as a part of the 50th Three Rivers Festival, we are even more excited about how the event will grow with the completion of the Riverfront development.”
