FWFD: Apartment Fire, Stonehedge Boulevard

Apartment Fire, Stonehedge Boulevard

(February 8, 2018) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to report of an apartment fire in the 5200 block of the Stonehedge Boulevard on February 8, 2018, at 7:58 am.
First arriving crews found heavy smoke coming from the roof and eaves of the structure. Multiple crews made an aggressive fire attack on all three floors of the apartment building and confined the fire to one half of the building. Multiple units in the building sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage. FWFD kept crews on scene for an extended period of time working on hot spots throughout the structure.
The fire is currently under investigation and there were no injuries sustained.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, Indiana Michigan Power, NIPSCO, the American Red Cross, the Fort Wayne Police Department.
