It might be five days until opening day at Parkview Field, but baseball returned to downtown Fort Wayne today.
The 2017 TinCaps took the field for the first time this afternoon for a practice session. The season opens Saturday at home as the TinCaps face the Bowling Green Hot Rods. The game’s start time is 6:05pm.
We were downtown to snap this photo earlier tonight when we came across this baseball in the middle of Ewing Street. We’re betting it was a foul ball, but it’s still impressive to us considering we couldn’t hit a ball past the pitcher’s mound.
Anyway, a sign of good luck?
