News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, Walden Run
(March 20, 2017) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a vehicle on fire in the garage of an occupied home in the 3400 block of Walden Run. Firefighters arrived and found the garage area to be fully involved with a vehicle inside and the entire structure full of heavy smoke.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly and ventilate the structure. Fire crews were able to confirm that there were no occupants inside the home. The fire was under control in less than 15 minutes.
The fire scene is currently under investigation.
The fire department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, Neighborhood Code Enforcement, NIPSCO, and Indiana Michigan Power.
