Last Friday was the deadline for the Request For Proposals (RFP) for the parking lot in downtown Fort Wayne bounded by Main, Pearl, Harrison Streets and Maiden Lane. The Redevelopment Commission did receive two proposals. A statement from the City follows:

Proposals to redevelop an underutilized property at the northwest corner of Main and Harrison streets were to be submitted to the Redevelopment Department prior to 3 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017. The department received two proposals.

The proposals contain proprietary information and are not available for public inspection.

A committee comprised of representatives of the City of Fort Wayne, Allen County, Greater Fort Wayne, the Capital Improvement Board and the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission will review the proposals and determine whether to pursue negotiations with any of the proposed developers.

The number and complexity of the proposals will dictate the time required for review. Executive Director of Redevelopment Nancy Townsend estimates the review process will take approximately three months.
