News release from INDOT:
Lane Closures Expected on I-69 in Allen County
I-69 will have one lane restricted in both directions between mile 295 and 300
(September 29, 2016) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane closures on I-69 in Allen County on Saturday, Oct. 1.
Drivers can expect lane closures in both directions during daytime hours between mile markers 295 and 300 to allow contractors to seal coat the shoulders and add permanent pavement markings to the roadway from .64 miles south of I-469 south junction to 4.2 miles north of I-469 south junction.
During the work, drivers can expect alternating lane restrictions in both directions and a reduced speed limit of 45 mph throughout the construction zone. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any construction zone.
The work is part of a larger I-469/I-69 interchange modification project which added an acceleration lane to the I-469 westbound ramp to I-69 southbound. The $3.1 million project also included the installation of traffic signals on Airport Expressway/Lower Huntington Road at the I-69 southbound entrance and exit ramps.
