A calender reminder from the Embassy Theatre:

Embassy Theatre events this week

Just a reminder that this week at the Embassy features three events for the community.

The Embassy’s Black & White silent film series continues on Monday, June 20, 7 p.m., with the love story Sunrise from 1927. It will be on the big screen with Clark Wilson returning to the Embassy to play the Grande Page. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children via the box office, ticketmaster.com or 800.745.3000.

For summer family fun, the Embassy offers Behind the Screen on Wednesday, June 22, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., an event featuring two Black & White silent movies, A Trip to the Moon and Backstage. After the films, kids get a peek “behind the screen” when stage hands disassemble and store the giant movie screen. The day continues with 18 different hands-on activities throughout the Embassy. Behind the Screen is presented by Hylant and PNC Bank. Tickets are $6 for this event.

The next Summer Nights at the Embassy will be on Wednesday, June 22, 5-9 p.m. This weekly event through Sept. 7 features access to the ballroom and Parkview Health Rooftop Patio, entertainment, a cash bar and food from area restaurants or food trucks. Tickets are $5 and are available via the box office, ticketmaster.com or 800.745.3000. On June 22, entertainment is Heartland Sings and food is by Club Soda. Summer Nights is sponsored by Old National with support from Amplify Art! and Arts United.
