Georgetown Fridays: Parkview Concert Series Kick-off
June 24th starts Friday 6:30 to 8:30pm
(June 17, 2016) – Parkview Hospital once again joins forces with Georgetown Square, located at the corner of Maplecrest and East State Blvd, to provide a high quality concert series to northeast Fort Wayne. The popular music series is celebrating its Fifth Anniversary. The series takes place on the 4th Friday of June, July, and August from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
2016 Bands and Dates:
- June 24th: Renegade, Fort Wayne’s most popular Country band
- July 22nd: Good Night Gracie, covers Popular Music from the 80′ 90’s and today
- August 26th: Junk Yard Band, covers top 40 hits from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s
“We at Georgetown Square are so pleased with the great success of the summer concerts.” said Maureen Partee of the Georgetown Office. “The atmosphere is always upbeat and fun on these Fridays. Concert goers really enjoy the outdoor venue and appreciate having a music event on the northeast part of town. The location and parking makes it convenient for so many.”
“My neighbors and I really enjoy being able to walk up to the concerts together. It adds a lot of energy to the area.” said Randi Lincoln of the Valley Park Forest Association.
Georgetown Bandido’s will be selling tacos and nachos as well as margaritas and cold beer. Georgetown Subway will have sandwiches, cookies and cold pop and water available on site.
The Fort Wayne Corvette Club will have a car show during the June 24 Renegade concert
Kids Day activities will be going on during the July 22 Good Night Gracie concert
