FWA and United Airlines announce non-stop service
(April 18, 2016) – Officials at the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority are pleased to announce that beginning Wednesday, September 7, 2016, United Airlines will begin daily nonstop service between Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) and New York/Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
“Our new daily service to New York/Newark offers United customers numerous opportunities for domestic and international travel,” said United’s Sales Manager Kimberly Egan. “With hundreds of options available at our Newark hub, we are confident our Fort Wayne customers will benefit greatly from this flight.”
“We are excited to welcome Newark service on United to FWA” said Executive Director of Airports Scott Hinderman. “We’re thrilled to provide our passengers with an East Coast connection that will not only give access to areas in and around New York City, but also provide connection to hundreds of destinations worldwide.”
This new service will operate seven days a week with a morning departure from FWA of 6:00 a.m., with an arrival at EWR of 7:53 a.m. The return flight will depart from EWR at 7:45 p.m. and return back to FWA at 9:45 p.m.
