Critcal Injury Shooting

Location: 4500 block of Oliver Street

Victims:

  1. Adult Male Serious Condition
  2. Adult Male Critical Condition

Details:

On March 17th, at approximately 10:50 pm Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a call of shoots fired at 4700 Bowser Avenue. Officers canvassed the area and located a black Dodge car that crashed into a parked red pontiac vehicle at 4500 Oliver St. The occupant of the Dodge passenger car was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Preliminary witness accounts indicate that a black Jeep was seen driving North on Oliver St. from the crash. The occupants of the black Jeep and the black Dodge were seen firing gunshots at each other in the area of Bowser and Oliver. The black Jeep was later located in the area of 4700 Winter St. unoccuppied. The Jeep was impounded for processing.

A short time after the initial shots were heard an adult male walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound(s). It appears that this individual was involved with the shooting that occured on Oliver St. and Bowser. This suspect was in serious condition. It is unknown at this time the association of the two shooting victims.

At this time witnesses and a person of interest are being interviewed by Detectives. The crime scene is being processed, along with establishing a narrative of events. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and Allen County Prosecutors Office.
