News release from Concordia Lutheran High School:

Top students to present comedic work at first-ever Comedy Festival

(March 4, 2016) — They will make you laugh and then they will make you laugh even harder. Ten videos have been selected as the finalists for the first-ever Concordia Comedy Festival.

At 7 p.m. on March 18, these students, represented from Memorial Park, Central Lutheran, Carroll, Bishop Dwenger and Concordia Lutheran High School, will vie for the top slot in the middle and high school categories. The showing, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Cinema Center, 437 E Berry St., in Downtown Fort Wayne.

The evening will begin with a showing of all 10 videos and then conclude with an open Q&A session with our two guest judges, Joe Harkenrider, a 2002 CLHS graduate and producer for Comedy Central’s digital division; and Nick Rutherford, a writer for “Saturday Night Live” during the 2014-15 season. There will be a private reception for the finalists and their guests.

The winners will be announced that evening and will receive a copy of Final Cut Pro X, Apple’s professional editing software (a $299.99 value).

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the CLHS main office or call (260) 483-1102 to reserve your ticket. Learn more at www.ConcordiaComedyFestival.com.
