TCC donating school supply packs to 5,000 teachers across the country based on community votes
WHO: Fort Wayne teachers and TCC, the largest Verizon Premium Wireless Retailer in the U.S.
WHAT: More than 500 participating TCC stores will be donating school supply packs to 5,000 teachers across the nation through its annual Teacher’s Rock Supply Giveaway. Fort Wayne residents are encouraged to vote for their local teachers to win a supply pack by calling their local participating TCC store.
WHEN: Voting runs through Friday, Feb. 12. The supply packs will be delivered to teachers the week of Feb. 21.
DETAILS: In an effort to replenish decreasing classroom supplies, TCC is donating school supply packs to 5,000 teachers across the country through its annual Teachers Rock Supply Giveaway.
Fort Wayne residents can call their local participating TCC store to nominate their favorite area teacher(s). A list of participating stores and phone numbers is available at https://tccrocks.com/locations. Stores with the pencil icon are accepting nominations.
After the votes are tallied, more than 500 participating TCC stores across the U.S. will reveal the 10 winning local teachers who will receive their supply packs during the week of Feb. 21. The packages—valued at $50 each—will be filled with glue, pencils, pens, markers, erasers, paper, tissue boxes and more. For every teacher reached, TCC is impacting 30 students. In 2015, TCC donated 3,500 supply packs to teachers across the country.
TCC makes ongoing investments in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives through its Culture of Good program. In 2015, its efforts included donating $1 million to Riley Hospital for Children, providing 100,000 backpacks full of school supplies to children, giving supply packs to 3,500 teachers, and contributing $100,000 in grants to organizations focused on improving the environment.
