SCAN’s Reach Expands from 21 to 28 Indiana Counties
Northern Indiana Prevention Services Team Added
(February 1, 2016) – SCAN is proud to announce that as of January 1, its services will expand, growing from 21 counties to 28 counties throughout the Department of Child Services regions 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 11. New counties served include Lake County, Tipton, Madison, Hamilton and Hancock counties.
Additionally, SCAN’s presence in Region 3 will expand, with its Northern Indiana Prevention Services team providing Family Centered Therapy and additional therapeutic programming. In doing so, SCAN assumed the staff from Indiana Mentor, a former provider. This exciting growth brings the number of SCAN employees from 195 to 210.
SCAN Executive Director, Rachel Tobin-Smith states, “We are thrilled to assure families quality services to help them recover from the trauma of abuse and neglect. These families are our families; these communities are our communities.”
