Rakeem Christmas Named to the 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Game
(January 29, 2016) – The NBA Development League announced today that Rakeem Christmas has been selected to represent the Eastern Conference at the 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire on Saturday, Feb. 13. The game, featuring 24 top prospects from the NBA’s official minor league, will air live on NBA TV and NBA TV Canada at 2:00 p.m. ET from Toronto’s Ricoh Coliseum.
Christmas has appeared in 25 games for Fort Wayne so far this season, where he is averaging 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks over 31.3 minutes per game; Christmas has also claimed NBA D-League Performer of the Week honors for play during November 30th through December 6th.
The Mad Ants (12-13) are set to host the Maine Red Claws (13-12) on Saturday, January 30th at the Coliseum with tip set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
