House Fire, Clermont Avenue
(January 27, 2016) – Fort Wayne Fire Department crews arrived in the 3500 block of Clermont Avenue to find heavy fire pushing out of the front window of a home. Hoselines were stretched for search and suppression. During fire attack, the search revealed one fatality still inside. Additional crews looked for fire extension to ensure complete extinguishment. There is moderate smoke and water damage throughout. The cause is under investigation.
FWFD was assisted by NCE, FWPD, NIPSCO, AEP, TRAA and the Coroner.
