News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 500 block Masterson Avenue
(January 15, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to the 500 block of Masterson Avenue to a reported house fire. When the Fire Department arrived the family had escaped from the home. The family was sleeping down stairs and evacuated before the Fire Department arrived. None of the occupants were injured while escaping.
It took the fire department 25 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, NIPSCO, and AEP.
