News release from Artlink:

Spring Adult and Youth Programs at Artlink

Artlink is pleased to announce the spring 2016 education program schedule. This spring we have a range of youth, adult, and creative business development classes. Kids can enjoy Spring Break at Artlink with our week long art camp or take a class that encourages creativity with LEGO bricks. Artists can join others setting goals and discussing artwork donation. As always, we have on going nude figure drawing and peer to peer critique groups.

Adult

Art Dialogue Donating Artwork Roundtable
Wednesday, March 2, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Artists are often asked to donate their artwork to causes, non-profit organizations, and fundraisers. And just as often, artists are told giving their work away for free is “good exposure.” But when is enough, enough? Join us for a community discussion around donating artwork. Together and in small groups, we will discuss giving away artwork for free, if and what you should ask for in return for your donation, best practices, how to know if you’re a victim of donation abuse, and more.

Cost: FREE Artlink Members & CO.STARTERS Grads, $5 General Public
Facilitators: Bill Shewman, Julie Wall Toles, and George Morrison

Facilitators are experienced entrepreneurs who are well connected in the business community. Guest speakers share the challenges they faced while starting and growing businesses, and business professionals from leading accounting and law firms offer their support to program participants. At the end, you’ll have the tools, framework, and momentum needed to make your vision a reality-the best part is you won’t be in it alone. Cost: $250 Artlink Members, $275 General Public
