News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 3700 block of Avondale Drive
(January 1, 2016) – FWFD units responded to a house fire in the 3700 block of Avondale Drive. Upon arrival, flames were seen on the exterior side of the home. An aggressive attack was made and the fire was stopped before it could extend into the interior of the home. The fire was under control within 7 minutes and no injuries were reported.
FWPD, TRAA, NCE, NIPSCO and AEP assisted at the scene.
