(December 4, 2015) – CMT and Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Jennifer Nettles is on the road starting in January for the CMT Presents Jennifer Nettles with 2016 Next Women of Country Tour which includes Brandy Clark and special guests Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson. The tour will be at the Embassy on Thursday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale to general public Dec.11 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone 800.745.3000 and at the Embassy box office. Tickets are $99.50, $79.50 and $59.50.

Nettles has racked up more than 22 million in worldwide record sales since exploding onto the music scene in 2004, amassing eight #1 hits and countless accolades and awards. She’s also a vocal supporter of females in the industry. “I always take any opportunity to champion women in music and throughout society at large,” said Nettles. “I am absolutely energized to headline this year’s ‘CMT Next Women of Country’ tour and celebrate these exciting artists on the precipice of so much greatness.”

CMT first launched its “Next Women” campaign in 2013 in an effort to emphasize undiscovered female artists in the male-dominated format. The campaign showcases emerging female artists across screens throughout the year, and several alumnae – Kacey Musgraves, Brandy Clark, Cassadee Pope and Ashley Monroe included – have achieved both commercial and critical acclaim. In 2015, CMT expanded the franchise to include its first-ever female-powered tour featuring Jana Kramer and Kelsea Ballerini.

About Lindsay Ell:
Named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country, Lindsay Ell is a triple threat: accomplished musician, unique vocalist and songwriter. The 26-year-old Calgary native learned to play guitar while traveling with her father to country-bluegrass camps as a young girl. Ell honed her craft as a musical stylist and songwriter after being discovered by BTO and The Guess Who’s Randy Bachman (“American Woman,” “Taking Care of Business”) who discovered her at the age of 13. The multi-instrumentalist was soon opening for the likes of Luke Bryan, Buddy Guy, The Band Perry and Keith Urban. The Stoney Creek Records artist has been called “a true triple threat” by Guitar World; “a star in the making” by Taste of Country; “Your coolest new girl crush” by Teen Vogue; and “a distinct figure in the modern country recording camp” by NASH Country Weekly. Ell received critical acclaim for her singles “Trippin’ On Us” and “Shut Me Up” including being named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Artists You Need to Know.” Ell’s new single, the spirited and up-tempo “By the Way” charged out of the gate as the #1 Most Added song at Country Radio upon its debut.
