News release from Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana:

Final 2015 UCanCrushHunger tally

(November 2, 2015) – It’s the time we’ve all been waiting for! For the first time, five schools have teamed up for friendly competition and to help our hungry neighbors in need. We’d like to thank the University of Saint Francis, Indiana Tech, Huntington University, IPFW, and Ivy Tech for their participation in Community Harvest Food Bank’s UCanCrushHunger food drive. They have been fantastic partners in our efforts to alleviate hunger in northeast Indiana, and through their efforts, thousands of families will be fed this season.

In total, we collected 42,408.51 pounds of food. After final counts, here is how each school stands:

1st Place: University of Saint Francis with a grand total of 21,582.35 pounds of food collected.
2nd Place: Indiana Tech with a grand total of 13,563.12 pounds of food collected.
3rd Place: Huntington University with a grand total of 3,141 pounds of food collected.
4th Place: IPFW with a grand total of 2,815 pounds of food collected.
5th Place: Ivy Tech with a grand total of 1,307.04 pounds of food collected.

Congratulations to all of our schools, and we will be scheduling a day coming up soon to award trophies. Thank you everyone for your participation!

We crushed it!
