Presentation Shares 100 Years of Baker Street Station History

(October 20, 2015) – Walter “Skip” Sassmannshausen will present his new book The Pennsylvania Railroad Station on Baker Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana: The Story of Service & Survival at the History Center on October 25, 2015 at 2pm. A book signing by the author will follow the presentation.

Sassmannshausens’s work shares 100 years of Fort Wayne’s Baker Street Railroad station, a history that speaks to generations of change in the people and events of Fort Wayne. Sassmannshausen reflects on the hundreds of individuals who have been served by the station throughout the century and links their collective stories to the ways in which the station is still serving Fort Wayne residents today and the ways it may continue to serve them in the future.

The book presentation and signing is free and open to the public. The History Center is located at 302 East Berry Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
