FWPD: Public survey requested for Officer Body Cameras

FWPD Fort Wayne Police Department

News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:

Public survey requested for Officer Body Cameras

(October 19, 2015) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is implementing a body-worn camera (bwc) program. We want the public’s opinions about the use of body-worn video by officers of the department.

A body-worn camera is a small camera system worn by officers that clips to an officers uniform or worn as a headset. The system records video and sound from an officers location, but they do not see exactly the same things as the officer does; it is different than being there in person.

Please feel free to participate in our brief survey related to the introduction of body-worn cameras worn by officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department. Your opinions are valuable, and we would appreciate you completing the entire survey if you chose to participate. Thank you for your time and feedback.
