  • Adult Male, Good Condition

On October 2, 2015, at approximately 10:44pm, City of Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to a report of a possible stabbing in the 700 block of Kinnaird Avenue. Officers arrived and located an adult male in a home in the area, suffering from undetermined wounds, appearing to be in good condition. He was taken to a local hospital where he remains in good condition. Officers were then directed to a second adult male, who was found on the front porch of another home in the area. This male was unresponsive, and was pronounced deceased by responding paramedics.

Preliminary information indicates a disturbance took place at a home in the 700 block of Kinnaird Ave. (the home where the male was found on the front porch). This disturbance led to a physical altercation between the two male victims, which resulted in the death of the one male, and injuries to the other male. At this time, it is unknown who was the primary aggressor. It is also currently unknown what caused the injuries to both males (whether or not it was a knife, gun, human hands, etc.). Police are also investigating any relationship that may exist between the males involved.

Detectives are searching for and speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the altercation. The male that was taken to the hospital will be interviewed by detectives as soon as possible. At this point, it is unknown if any charges will be filed, as the person is currently being considered only a witness/victim. Crime Scene technicians are searching for, processing, and collecting any evidence.

The name, and cause and manner of death to the deceased will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s office.
