On October 2, 2015, at approximately 10:44pm, City of Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to a report of a possible stabbing in the 700 block of Kinnaird Avenue. Officers arrived and located an adult male in a home in the area, suffering from undetermined wounds, appearing to be in good condition. He was taken to a local hospital where he remains in good condition. Officers were then directed to a second adult male, who was found on the front porch of another home in the area. Preliminary information indicates a disturbance took place at a home in the 700 block of Kinnaird Ave. (the home where the male was found on the front porch). This disturbance led to a physical altercation between the two male victims, which resulted in the death of the one male, and injuries to the other male. Police are also investigating any relationship that may exist between the males involved.
Detectives are searching for and speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the altercation. The male that was taken to the hospital will be interviewed by detectives as soon as possible. At this point, it is unknown if any charges will be filed, as the person is currently being considered only a witness/victim. Crime Scene technicians are searching for, processing, and collecting any evidence.
