FWA celebrates growth with Customer Appreciation Week September 21-25

(September 17, 2015) – Officials at Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) will host a Customer Appreciation Week September 21-25, 2015 to thank the community for its support and celebrate a successful year. Several free activities will take place throughout the week for both arriving and departing passengers.

“Traffic is up 15% year-over-year and we want to take a week to celebrate that growth with those who made it possible,” said Executive Director of Airports Scott Hinderman. “It’s been one year since we launched nonstop flights to two new destinations and the community has been incredibly supportive – we can’t thank them enough for choosing FWA for their travel needs.”

Among the week’s events, select arriving flights will receive surprise gifts at baggage claim and local icons will serve as Honorary Hospitality Hosts. The Honorary Hosts will be adorned in signature blue vests and greet arriving passengers with a famous fresh-baked cookie. Hosts include Mayor Henry, TV and radio personalities, and local sports mascots.
