News release from Liz Brown for Congress:
Liz Brown Signs Obamacare Repeal Pledge
(August 31, 2015) – Today, Independent Women’s Voice announced that State Senator Liz Brown (R-IN) has signed the Obamacare Repeal Pledge. She is a candidate for Congress in Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District.
“State Sen. Liz Brown’s signature on the Pledge is a clear demonstration of her commitment to the full and complete repeal of Obamacare, and to end the harm that it is inflicting upon American families,” said Heather Higgins, President and CEO of Independent Women’s Voice.
“Sen. Brown understands that Obamacare is hiking insurance premiums, diminishing quality of care, and reducing our choice and control in health care decisions,” added Higgins. “She understands that Obamacare means bigger government and less freedom. For these reasons, and many more, it must be repealed.”
“Washington has failed to enact healthcare reform that truly helps,” added Sen. Brown. “Obamacare has been a disaster and it’s breaking the backs of the middle class. I believe we must end Obamacare and replace it with a model of health care that guarantees the patient doctor relationship and restores free market principles in our nation’s healthcare systems.”
“The Repeal Pledge was designed as a litmus test to help the American public understand which candidates and office holders are serious about repeal, versus those who claim to be but won’t actually take action,” continued Higgins. “With this commitment, Sen. Brown passes that test.”
