IPFW Office of Admissions Welcomes Three New Team Members

(August 11, 2015) – Indiana University-Purdue University (IPFW) added three new team members to the Office of Admissions to increase IPFW’s footprint in the region and build on its new designation as a Multisystem Metropolitan University.

“We are now poised to expand into northwest Ohio with the new reciprocity agreement,” says Tonishea Jackson, director of Admissions. “The office is continually striving to find ways to expand our commitment to diversity,transform admissions operations, and integrate technology while keeping pace with competitors.”

Michael J. Foley – Associate Director of Admissions
Michael J. Foley will manage enrollment operations, reporting, and implementing new technology. Foley will supervise six clerical admissions staff members and help foster and maintain a productive, high-energy office environment in support of the achievement of annual enrollment goals. He earned a B.A. from Providence College in 2003 and an M.Ed. from Cambridge College in 2013. Foley brings unique perspective and well-rounded experience in higher education from prior roles at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Suffolk University. He is an avid sports fan, golfer, and pizza enthusiast who looks forward to experiencing life in the Midwest, especially the excitement of regional college athletics.

Amber Armstrong – Assistant Director for Diversity and Multicultural Outreach
Amber Armstrong will work with high school guidance counselors, non-profit and community organizations, parents, and students to recruit and enroll students of diverse populations to IPFW. She will assist with the office’s communication efforts and blogging initiatives. As a graduate of Hampton University in Virginia, she earned a degree in biological sciences. Armstrong brings experience in student affairs, serving as the former vice president of the Michigan Alumni Association. She also brings expertise in fast-paced sales environments, with prior roles in management at Walmart, Kroger Co., and Enterprise Holdings.

David Stineburg – Assistant Director for Regional Expansion
David Stineburg (’08) will work with high school guidance counselors, parents, and students in northwest Ohio’s reciprocity counties. Additionally, he will continue building better community relations in both Fort Wayne and the northeast Indiana region. He earned a B.S.Ed. in secondary education at IPFW. A former high school teacher of history and psychology, Stineburg brings that experience with high school students with him. He also has experience in higher education as a recruiter and advisor at ITT Technical Institute. Other areas of expertise include business development, program development, and operations management from his work at ExecuTrain, a global corporate training company.
