News release from the Embassy Theatre:

Embassy Theatre only Indiana theatre to be ranked in top 100 worldwide

(August 12, 2015) – Pollstar, a leading concert industry publication, ranked the Fort Wayne Embassy Theatre as No. 79 on its 2015 Mid-Year Top 100 Theatre Venues for ticket sales worldwide.

The Embassy sold 40,501 concert tickets between Jan. 1 and June 30, according to Pollstar.

Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City topped the list followed by the Fox Theatre in Atlanta and the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, N.C. The Embassy was the only Indiana venue to be ranked in the top 100.

“We had an exciting six months at the Embassy with two Kevin Hart shows, eight performances of Jersey Boys and several other shows such as the Wild Kratts, John Mellencamp and the Embassy-originated fundraiser, Down the Line 9,” said Kelly Updike, executive director. “We’re regularly listed in the Top 100, even reaching 48 in the past. Our goal is to place in the Top 25 consistently, and we are working hard to accomplish that realistic target.”
