IPFW Hosts Congressman Stutzman’s Job Fair on August 10 in Walb Union
(August 4, 2015) — Indiana Third District Congressman Marlin Stutzman’s annual job fair returns to the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus Monday, August 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Walb Student Union Classic Ballroom. IPFW is co-sponsoring the event.
Representatives from 76 employers with more than 2,800 jobs to fill will be on hand to meet with job seekers. That is almost 10% more employers than attended last year’s job fair.
The free event combines interview training with networking opportunities to help job seekers make the most of their time. Those looking for jobs can meet dozens of employers who are hiring and network with other job seekers and business owners, all on the same day at the same location.
An interview training session, sponsored by WorkOne Northeast and IPFW Career Services, takes place from noon to 3 p.m. in Walb Student Union. Attendees will learn how to:
- highlight their experience and qualifications
- create a vivid, positive impression on employers
- develop contacts to build a professional network
Both the job fair and training session are free and open to the public.
The current list of employers attending the job fair is available here (PDF, 78 KB).
