News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:

House fire, 1017 Kensington Boulevard

(June 28, 2015) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a house fire reported by neighbors at 1017 Kensington Blvd. On arrival Truck 1 found fire on the exterior of the home, they entered the structure to search for possible victims and extinguish the fire. A fire was found in the kitchen which had extended to the attic and outside of the structure. Four pets were found, of which 3 perished and one was treated by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority Medics then transported by Fort Wayne Animal Control for further care. No persons were in the house and no one was injured during operations at this incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
